The Keith Brabant Music Scholarship was formed in remembrance of Keith Brabant, a musician/composer born in Clayton, NY. Keith believed that all youth should have a full musical education from kindergarten through 6th grade, in order to have the basic knowledge needed to appreciate music. He also believed that financial constraints should not keep an interested young person from learning about music.

The Keith Brabant Music Scholarship seeks to further the musical interests of musicians age 5-25 living in Jefferson County, NY who show both a passion for music and a financial need. The specific application requirements are:
1. Applications must be received by April 30th, 2012. All requested documentation must be included for applications to be considered.
2. Applicants must be age 5-25 before the application date. If over 18 must be enrolled in a music program at a college or university.
3. Applicants must live in Jefferson County, NY.
